RUN GAME COORDINATOR

West Ottawa High School // Winter 2023 - Fall 2024

-Helped create run block schemes and pass protections for the offensive line

-Ran off season program for the Offensive Line

-Assisted in running the summer football camps for the school

Successes:

-Helped an OT accomplish his goal of getting a scholarship to play college football at a D2 school (Wayne State University)

-Helped 4 players on the offense receive offers to play football at Division 2 in the GLIAC conference.

West Ottawa High School // Fall 2023

-Created extensive scouting reports for the final three weeks of the regular season, and the 1st round playoff game.
-Influenced Offensive, Defensive, and Special Teams game plans for the final three weeks of the regular season, and the 1st round playoff game.
-Helped team recognize tendencies and make in game adjustments.
-Observed practice and made quality control suggestions to the Head Coach on practice structure / organization.
Successes:
   -Helped team take a 1-5 season to a 4-5 finish of the regular season and 1st playoff appearance since 2018.

DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR

Valor Christian High School // Summer 2022 - Fall 2022

-Coordinate and implement effective defensive game plans and strategies
-Analyze game film to identify strengths and weaknesses of opponents scheme and player tendencies and create weekly scouting reports
-Oversee the development and training of defensive players at each position
-Manage and delegate responsibilities to assistant coaches and coordinators
-Communicate with head coach and offensive coordinator to develop cohesive game plans
-Assist with the recruiting process for new players by organizing and running summer camps at the high school, and giving a tour of the facilities

-Develop and maintain relationships with players, parents, and community by participating in community service and outreach events
-Ensure that all players adhere to team and school rules and policies
Successes:
   -Helped Valor reach their 3rd straight and 12th overall state championship game since the program's creation in 2008.
   -Helped Valor reach MaxPreps rank #2 overall for the 2022 season.
   -Helped players achieve goal of playing football at Division 1, 2, and 3 (Florida  International, Colorado State, Northern Colorado, Princeton, Kentucky, Oklahoma, San Diego, Air Force, Wyoming, Pugent Sound)

Holland Christian High School // 2019-2021

-Promoted to Associate Head Football Coach in December of 2019
-Helped design the off-season schedule for Holland Christian football
-Led summer conditioning for all Holland Christian Athletics
-Hosted off-season football training sessions, 4 man workouts, and film reviews
-Continued role as Defensive Coordinator for 2019 and 2021 Seasons
-Held role of Offensive Coordinator for 2020 Season

-Designed and implemented a new defense most similarly compared to the 4-3 Bearcat defense run by Ferris State University and Saginaw Valley State University
-Developed daily practice plans for the defensive practice
-Developed weekly game plans for opponents
-Responsible for training the defensive coaching staff the new scheme
Successes:
   -Achieved 2nd deepest playoff run in school history (2018)
   -Won a Division 4 District Championship during the 2018 season
   -Helped players move on to play defense at the college level (Hope College, Indiana Wesleyan University, and University of Pittsburgh)
   -Personally trained a first year football player, Will King, to become a Division 1 Scholarship Athlete, recruited by the University of Pittsburgh in the ACC
   -Shut out Coopersville High School in 2019 season opener
   -Held Hamilton High School to less than 95 total yards (2019)
   -Defense had single season regular season turnover record (2019)
   -Helped 10 players reach All Conference, All State, or All State Honorable Mention Honors

CO DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR
SPECIAL TEAMS COORDINATOR

Holland Christian High School // 2017-2018

-Responsible for the Offensive and Defensive line, as well as all of the Special Teams
-Created Special Teams game plans, and pass protection scheme.
Successes:
   -Position coach for the single season Tackle for Loss school record holder
   -Position coach for the single game Tackle for Loss school record holder
   -Position coach for the single game sack school record holder

DEFENSIVE GRADUATE ASSISTANT

Davenport University // 2016-2017

-Coached Interior Defensive Line.
-In charge of Defensive and Special Teams Quality Control.
-In charge of the scouting for upcoming opponents Offense and Special Teams.
Successes:
-Recorded a winning season in its inaugural football program.
-Davenport was at one point in the 2016 season ranked in the top 15 national teams for the NAIA

WIDE RECEIVER COACH

Hope College // 2013-2016

-Coached Varsity and Junior Varsity Wide Receivers.
-Assisted kickoff return team.
Successes:
-Two All MIAA players: Taylor Bryneart and Matt Kroll
-One Hope College Offensive Player of the Year: Taylor

ASSISTANT VARSITY COACH

Zeeland West High School // 2010-2013

-Coached Outside Line Backers and Tight Ends.
Successes:
-43 Wins and 7 Losses
-Two State Championships, Three Conference Championships, Two Regional Championships, Two District Championships and four District Championship appearances
-Helped 6 players achieve All Conference Player.

STUDENT ASSISTANT COACH

Western Michigan University // 2008-2009

-Helped coach for 2008 season and 2009 spring ball.
-Student Assistant for Running Back’s Coach and Assistant to the Special Teams Coordinator.

-9 Wins and 4 Losses (Fall Season)
